Styles & Design
What vanity styles does Karton Republic offer?
Karton Republic offers bathroom vanities across seven major design styles: modern, contemporary, mid-century modern, Scandinavian/minimalist, industrial, modern farmhouse, and transitional. With over 25 collections, each collection has a distinct visual identity — not a generic catalog look. Browse by style or collection at kartonrepublic.com/collections/vanity.
What is the difference between modern, contemporary, and mid-century modern vanities?
Modern vanities follow a design language rooted in function and clean geometry — flat fronts, straight lines, neutral palettes of white, wood, and black. The emphasis is on rational layout and minimal ornamentation. Our Orsa and Bibury collections are strong examples.
Contemporary vanities reflect what is trending right now — in 2026, that means warm wood tones, fluted or reeded drawer fronts, matte finishes, and natural stone countertops. Our Oslo and Barcelona collections capture this direction.
Mid-century modern vanities draw from 1950s–1960s design — warm walnut or white oak tones, tapered legs on freestanding models, and a furniture-like quality that makes a vanity feel deliberately chosen rather than spec'd. Our Portree and Nara collections embody this aesthetic.
What is a Scandinavian or minimalist bathroom vanity?
Scandinavian-style vanities emphasize simplicity, functionality, and natural materials. Key characteristics include clean lines, light wood tones (white oak, ash, birch), minimal hardware, and an uncluttered silhouette. The goal is a calm, spa-like bathroom environment. Our Munich and Celle collections are designed in this tradition — light wood veneers, seamless drawer fronts, and restrained proportions that work in both small and large bathrooms.
What is a modern farmhouse style vanity?
Modern farmhouse vanities blend rustic warmth with contemporary functionality — natural wood tones, simple hardware, shaker-style drawer fronts, and a grounded, furniture-style presence. They work especially well in bathrooms with white tile, open shelving, and brushed nickel or matte black fixtures. Our Rennes and Parma collections are designed in this tradition.
What is a transitional style vanity?
Transitional vanities sit between traditional and modern — combining classic proportions and warm wood tones with cleaner lines, updated hardware, and a less ornate finish. They suit homeowners who want a timeless look that won't feel dated as trends shift. Our Winchester and Matera collections are designed in this style.
What is an industrial style bathroom vanity?
Industrial vanities combine raw materials — dark wood tones, matte black hardware, exposed metal accents — with a bold, utilitarian aesthetic. They work especially well in loft-style spaces or bathrooms with concrete, tile, or dark-colored walls. Our Texcel and Veemon collections bring this edge to real wood construction.
What vanity styles are trending in 2026?
The strongest trends in 2026 are floating/wall-mount vanities with warm wood finishes, fluted or reeded drawer fronts, and natural stone countertops. Light white oak and walnut are the dominant wood tones. Matte finishes are replacing high-gloss. Mid-century furniture-style freestanding vanities are also surging — particularly in walnut with tapered legs. All of these directions are well represented across our 25+ collections.
What is the difference between a floating vanity and a freestanding vanity?
A floating (wall-mount) vanity is mounted directly to the wall with no floor contact. It creates a lighter, more open feel in the bathroom, makes floor cleaning easier, and is the dominant trend in modern and Scandinavian bathroom design. Karton Republic floating vanities use edge-to-edge mounting brackets for maximum weight capacity and wall support.
A freestanding vanity sits on legs or a base and rests on the floor. It installs more simply (no wall anchoring required) and suits mid-century, farmhouse, and transitional aesthetics where a furniture-like presence is the goal. Both styles are available across our collections.
Do your vanities come with a mirror?
Mirrors are not included with vanities — they are sold separately. However, Karton Republic offers a unique advantage: our hardwood-framed mirrors are available in the exact same wood finishes as our vanity cabinets. This matching is extremely rare in the market — most mirror brands do not offer wood frames in finishes that coordinate precisely with vanity construction. Our mirrors are available in oval, round, rectangle, and square shapes, with or without integrated LED lighting. This makes it possible to achieve a fully matched bathroom set that is difficult to replicate from any other single source.
Do your vanities come with a faucet?
Faucets are not included. All Karton Republic vanity tops are pre-drilled with a standard 1⅜" single-hole faucet opening, compatible with any standard single-hole faucet. We recommend selecting a faucet finish that coordinates with your cabinet hardware — matte black, brushed brass, or brushed nickel are the most popular pairings with our wood-tone vanities in 2026.
What wood finishes are available?
Karton Republic vanities are available in 12 wood tones across our collections:
- Walnut
- Dark Walnut
- Charcoal Oak
- Smoke Oak
- Pecan Oak
- Whitewash Oak
- Natural Oak
- Natural Teak
- Maple #1
- Maple #2
- Golden Oak
- Espresso Oak
- Chestnut Oak
All wood-finish cabinets use real continuous-grain wood veneer — not printed film or MDF wrap — so the grain pattern is natural and unique to each piece. Not every finish is available in every collection; each product listing shows the finish options available for that specific vanity.
Not sure how a finish will look in your bathroom? You can order a physical finish sample directly from our website before placing your full order. Visit our Cabinet Finish Samples page to order the exact veneer chip or painted sample for the finish you are considering — so you can see the real color, texture, and sheen against your tile, flooring, paint, and hardware before committing.
Can I get a finish sample before I order?
Yes — and this is something very few vanity brands offer. Karton Republic provides physical cabinet finish samples for both our wood veneer finishes and our solid painted color finishes, available to order directly on our website. We currently offer over 30 finish samples covering every wood tone and painted color in our catalog.
This matters more than most buyers realize. Bathroom finishes look different depending on your lighting, tile color, floor material, wall paint, and hardware finish. A finish that looks perfect on a screen may read differently in your specific bathroom. With a physical sample in hand, you can hold it against your existing tile, flooring, paint chips, and faucet hardware — and make a confident decision before spending $800–$3,000 on a vanity.
Please note: our finish samples are produced on an MDF board backing. This is not the material used in our vanities or any of our products — our vanity cabinets are built from 9-layer high-density hardwood, never MDF. MDF is used on the finish sample only because it provides a flat, lightweight, uniform surface ideal for shipping and for storage in our full color sample box. The sample's purpose is to show you the true finish color, sheen, and texture — not the cabinet's construction material.
No other competitor in our category offers this level of color confidence for both wood veneer and solid painted finishes. Browse and order your samples at our Cabinet Finish Samples page.
Construction & Materials
What are Karton Republic vanities made of?
Our vanity cabinets are constructed with 9 layers of high-density hardwood and engineering wood — never MDF. The cabinet faces use natural continuous wood grain veneer. All construction is CARB-ATCM Phase 2 certified for formaldehyde emission standards. Finish is applied in 5 layers using Sherwin-Williams premium paint, including primer, basecoat, and varnish layers for corrosion protection, UV resistance, and radiant heat suitability.
Why do you use plywood veneer instead of MDF?
MDF (medium-density fiberboard) absorbs moisture and swells, warps, or delaminates in humid bathroom environments — often within a few years. Our 9-layer high-density plywood construction is water-resistant, structurally stronger, holds screws and hardware far better, and does not degrade from bathroom humidity. This is why we can offer a lifetime structural warranty. When you see a vanity marketed as "wood" but priced very low, it is almost certainly MDF or MDF-core with a printed wood-look film — not real wood veneer over plywood.
How do I tell if a vanity is real wood or MDF?
A few reliable signs to check. Real plywood veneer vanities like ours feel heavier and more solid in hand because of our thick 9-layer hardwood construction at 15mm — a substantial, furniture-grade build you can feel when you lift a drawer or open a door. They also show natural wood grain variation (no two pieces are identical), hold up in humid environments, and can be backed by a lifetime warranty because the material genuinely lasts.
By contrast, lower-cost MDF vanities are often built with thinner panels, show a printed wood grain that repeats in a pattern, swell or bubble near the edges after moisture exposure, and typically carry a warranty of one year or less. If the grain looks identical from one panel to the next, or the edges feel like dense smooth board rather than layered wood, you are likely looking at MDF.
What countertop options are available?
We offer four countertop materials depending on the collection:
- Prefabricated quartz — durable, non-porous, scratch and stain resistant
- Premium ATH solid surface (matte finish) — seamless, repairable, warm to the touch
- Sintered stone — 100% natural material made from granite minerals, glass minerals, and natural oxides; extremely hard and heat resistant
- Natural stone — available on select collections
All countertops are pre-drilled with a standard 1⅜" single-hole faucet opening and designed for either vessel or under-mount sinks.
What is ATH solid surface and what makes it a premium material?
ATH stands for Aluminum Trihydrate, the primary mineral used in premium solid surface manufacturing. Our ATH solid surface countertops and sinks are made from a composite of natural mineral powder (aluminum trihydrate) and high-grade acrylic resin, cast and cured into a dense, non-porous slab.
Here is what makes it stand out as a bathroom surface material:
- Non-porous — bacteria, mold, and moisture cannot penetrate the surface, making it highly hygienic and easy to keep clean
- Seamless appearance — sinks and countertops can be integrated into one continuous surface with no visible joint, crack, or grout line where dirt can accumulate
- Repairable — unlike stone or quartz, minor scratches and surface marks on ATH solid surface can be sanded and buffed out, restoring the original finish
- Matte finish — the natural matte surface is warm to the touch and does not show water spots or fingerprints the way glossy materials do
- Impact and thermal resistant — the dense mineral composition handles daily bathroom use, temperature changes, and cleaning products without cracking or discoloring
- Consistent color throughout — because the color runs through the full thickness of the slab, chips or surface wear do not expose a different color underneath
ATH solid surface is the same class of material used in premium commercial and hospitality installations worldwide — chosen for healthcare facilities, hotel bathrooms, and high-end residential projects where durability, hygiene, and a refined matte aesthetic are all required. Our solid surface comes in a matte finish and is available in multiple colors depending on the collection.
Do I need a backsplash with my vanity?
Karton Republic vanities do not include a backsplash, and this is intentional. Modern and contemporary vanities are rarely paired with an attached countertop backsplash — adding one tends to shift the entire look toward a traditional white shaker style, which works against the clean, European-inspired design our vanities are built around.
You do still want to protect the wall behind the vanity from water and humidity. We recommend one of two approaches:
- Tile — a tiled wall section behind the vanity gives a clean, modern finish and full water protection. This is the most popular choice for contemporary bathrooms.
- Green board with waterproof paint — green board is moisture-resistant drywall designed for wet areas. Finished with a quality waterproof paint, it protects the wall while keeping the minimal, backsplash-free look intact.
Both options preserve the modern aesthetic of the vanity while keeping your wall protected from daily splashes and bathroom humidity.
What is sintered stone?
Sintered stone is a 100% natural, hygienic surface material made from granite minerals, glass minerals, and natural oxides. It is manufactured by compressing raw natural minerals under extreme heat and pressure — mimicking the geological process that forms natural stone deep beneath the earth. The closest familiar reference is porcelain tile: both share the same natural mineral origin and fired hardness, but sintered stone is produced as a thick, seamless slab with no grout lines, greater density, and superior resistance to scratches, stains, heat, and UV light. For a vanity countertop, it delivers the refined look of natural stone with the durability and low maintenance of an engineered surface.
Are your vanities water-resistant?
Yes. All Karton Republic vanities are water-resistant, corrosion-protected, and suitable for radiant heat and UV light exposure. The 5-layer Sherwin-Williams finish creates a sealed surface that handles daily bathroom humidity, and the 9-layer plywood construction provides far better moisture resistance than MDF alternatives.
For added peace of mind, Karton Republic vanities offer 48-hour water damage protection — the cabinet can withstand standing water and moisture exposure for up to 48 hours without structural damage. This is a level of water resistance that MDF cabinets cannot match, since MDF begins to swell and break down within hours of water exposure. It means a minor plumbing leak or overflow that goes unnoticed for a day or two will not destroy your vanity the way it would with engineered-wood-filler construction.
Are the drawers and doors soft-closing?
Yes. All Karton Republic vanities feature soft-close drawers with full-extension UNIHOPPER undermount glides, pre-installed at the factory. Drawers also feature three-dimensional front adjustment for perfect alignment after installation. For our side cabinets and other door units, we use premium soft-close door hinges from Blum and Hettich — two of the most trusted European cabinet hardware manufacturers in the industry. This commitment to brand-name hardware is part of why our cabinets operate smoothly and hold up to years of daily use.
Are your vanities CARB certified?
Yes. All Karton Republic vanity cabinets are certified compliant with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) ATCM Phase 2 formaldehyde emission standards — the strictest air quality standard for composite wood products in the United States.
Where are Karton Republic vanities made?
Our products are designed in the United States by our in-house team at our City of Industry, California headquarters, and manufactured in China and Malaysia. All products are quality-inspected and stocked at our Los Angeles area warehouse before shipment to customers across all 50 U.S. states and Canada.
Sizing & Fit
How do I find a vanity that fits my bathroom?
Measure the width, height, and depth of the available space using a measuring tape — include clearance for the door swing and any adjacent fixtures. Then browse our vanities page and filter by size. We offer standard widths from 24 to 72 inches. Each product listing includes full dimensions and a specification sheet.
What sizes do you offer?
We offer bathroom vanities in standard widths of 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 55, 60, and 72 inches. Both single and double sink configurations are available depending on the collection. Over 25 vanity lines with 20+ wood and color variations are in stock at our Los Angeles warehouse.
What is the standard depth of your vanities?
Most Karton Republic vanities are 20–22 inches deep, consistent with the U.S. standard vanity depth of 21 inches. Exact depth is listed on each product page and specification sheet. If you have a narrow bathroom or a door that swings close to the vanity wall, check the depth dimension carefully — and remember to allow roughly 30 inches of clear floor space in front of the vanity for comfortable use.
Are your vanities standard height or comfort height?
All Karton Republic freestanding vanities are built at 36 inches — comfort height. In the vanity industry, "standard height" refers to 30–34 inches (the traditional spec, especially for vanities sourced from Asian markets at 32–34 inches), while "comfort height" refers to 36 inches — matching kitchen counter height so most adults can use the sink without bending. We made 36-inch comfort height the default across our entire freestanding line, not a paid upgrade, because it is simply more comfortable for the majority of adult users. If you are 5'8" or taller, you will feel the difference every morning.
Our floating (wall-mount) vanities offer even more flexibility: because they mount to the wall rather than resting on the floor, you can set them at whatever height suits you by adjusting where the mounting brackets are installed. See the question below on floating vanity mounting height for details.
Can I adjust the height of a floating vanity?
Yes — this is one of the key advantages of a floating (wall-mount) vanity over a freestanding one. Because a floating vanity attaches to the wall instead of resting on the floor, the final installed height is entirely up to you. By choosing where to install the mounting brackets, you can set the vanity higher for taller users, lower for children or accessibility needs, or at whatever height best fits your bathroom and the people who use it.
Freestanding vanities come at a fixed height (36 inches for all Karton Republic freestanding models), so their height cannot be changed after installation. If custom height matters to you, a floating vanity gives you that control. We recommend having your installer confirm the bracket height against wall studs and your plumbing rough-in before final mounting.
Is a double sink vanity worth it, or should I choose a single sink?
Choose a single sink if your bathroom is under 60 inches wide, if only one person primarily uses the bathroom, or if you prioritize counter space over dual access. Choose a double sink if the bathroom is shared by two people with different morning schedules, if you have 60 inches or more of wall space, and if simultaneous use is important. Double sink vanities are the most searched vanity configuration in the U.S. and significantly increase bathroom resale value.
Will the vanity fit through my doorway?
Standard interior doorways in the U.S. are 32–36 inches wide. For vanities wider than 30 inches, check the depth dimension against your doorway width — vanities typically need to be tilted on their side to pass through a door opening. For 60-inch and 72-inch double vanities, confirm hallway and doorway clearance before ordering, or contact us for guidance on the specific model you are considering.
Can I order a custom size or design?
Custom sizes and designs are available for large quantity orders only. Custom products take approximately 60 days to manufacture. For single-unit needs, we recommend selecting the closest standard size. Contact marlene@cartisandesign.com to discuss large quantity custom orders.
Can I order a matching side cabinet or medicine cabinet?
Yes. We offer coordinating side cabinets and medicine cabinets. Side cabinet wall brackets support up to 120 lbs total including cabinet weight. Each side cabinet includes 2 mounting brackets for top-corner installation.
Faucets, Sinks & Drains
Do your vanities come with a sink?
Yes. Every Karton Republic vanity includes the sink and countertop as a complete unit — the cabinet, countertop, and sink arrive together, fully matched and pre-cut. Sink material varies by collection (ceramic, quartz, ATH solid surface, natural stone, or acrylic) and is specified on each product listing. The only items sold separately are the faucet, drain, and mirror. This is worth confirming when comparing prices: many competitor listings show a low price for the cabinet only, with the countertop and sink added separately at checkout.
What type of faucet is compatible with your vanities?
All Karton Republic vanity tops come pre-drilled with one hole for a standard 1⅜" single-hole faucet. Any standard single-hole faucet is compatible right out of the box. Faucets are not included and are purchased separately. For 2026, the most popular finishes pairing with wood-tone vanities are matte black, brushed brass, and brushed nickel.
Can I use a widespread or 3-hole faucet on your vanities?
Yes, with a small modification. Our countertops are pre-drilled with a single hole, but all of our countertop materials can be drilled for additional holes to accommodate a widespread or 3-hole faucet. This is done using a hole saw, which is available at any hardware store. The drilling is straightforward for a contractor or experienced DIYer.
One important caution: if your vanity has a top-mount (vessel or above-counter) sink, be very careful when planning a widespread faucet installation. The raised edge of a top-mount sink can physically block the faucet handles from rotating to certain positions, making the faucet difficult or impossible to operate. Before drilling any additional holes, always test-fit the actual faucet against your vanity and sink, or request the faucet's full dimensional specifications from the manufacturer to confirm clearance. Once you drill the countertop, the modification cannot be undone — and Karton Republic is not responsible for damage resulting from customer modifications to the countertop.
What is the recommended faucet height?
For under-mount and integrated sinks, 4–6 inches above the sink rim is standard. For vessel sinks, 8–10 inches above the countertop is recommended to allow comfortable hand clearance.
What is the difference between overflow and non-overflow sinks and drains?
An overflow sink has a small opening near the top of the basin that prevents water from spilling over. A non-overflow sink does not. It is critical to match the sink and drain type — mismatching will cause leaking. The drain hole size on all our vanities is 1.75 inches.
What sink materials are available?
Sink material varies by collection and includes ceramic, quartz, premium ATH solid surface (matte finish), natural stone, and acrylic (gloss finish) in various colors. Each product listing specifies the included sink material.
Where is the drain located?
Drain placement is listed in each product's specification sheet and diagram. For centered sinks, divide the base width in half. If you cannot determine placement from the specs, contact us with the product name and we'll confirm.
Installation
Are your vanities pre-assembled?
Yes. All Karton Republic vanities are fully pre-assembled at the factory — cabinet, drawers, soft-close hardware, and handles all come installed. A licensed plumber or contractor is needed only to connect plumbing and mount the vanity to the wall (for floating models). This significantly reduces on-site installation time.
Do you offer installation services?
We offer curbside freight delivery but do not provide installation. We recommend a licensed professional for plumbing connection and wall mounting. All vanities ship with installation instructions and required mounting hardware.
How do floating/wall-mount vanities get installed?
Floating vanities use our edge-to-edge mounting bracket system, which distributes weight across a wider wall surface for superior support and higher weight capacity than standard point brackets. Brackets are included. We strongly recommend anchoring into wall studs for maximum stability — a professional installer can confirm stud placement and ensure the vanity is perfectly level.
Is the mounting bracket system on your floating vanities secure?
Yes — and significantly more secure than most competitors. Karton Republic floating vanities use a 45-degree French clip style bracket that runs edge to edge across the full width of the vanity. Because the bracket spans the entire back of the cabinet, it can be anchored into multiple wall studs along its length, distributing the vanity's weight across the full wall surface.
Most floating vanities on the market use only two small metal clips — one at each corner — which limits wall contact to just two anchor points. If those two points don't align with studs, the installation is compromised. Our full-width French clip system eliminates this problem entirely: with more anchor points available across the bracket's length, installers can secure into every stud behind the vanity, resulting in a significantly stronger, more stable mount that handles the full weight of the cabinet, countertop, and sink without flex or shift over time.
Will my order be delivered inside my home?
No. Vanities and bathtubs ship via freight carrier as curbside deliveries — the carrier drops off on your property but does not bring items inside. Smaller items (mirrors, medicine cabinets, side cabinets, drains) ship via FedEx Ground or UPS and are left at your front door without requiring a signature.
For freight (vanity and bathtub) deliveries, the freight company will call you 2–3 days before delivery to schedule an appointment window. An adult must be present on-site to receive the order, inspect it, and sign for delivery. We recommend inspecting the packaging for any visible damage before signing, and noting any concerns with the driver at the time of delivery.
Where can I find the spec sheet for my vanity?
Spec sheets are included in each product listing. If you can't locate yours, email marlene@cartisandesign.com with the vanity name and we'll send it directly.
Finishes & Color
Why does the color look different than it did online?
Monitor settings, photography lighting, and your bathroom's ambient light all affect how a color appears. Products with real wood veneer also have natural grain and color variation from piece to piece — this is a characteristic of genuine wood, not a defect. If unsure, request a sample before purchasing.
Can I request a material or color sample before buying?
Yes — and we strongly encourage it. Finish samples are available free on our website; you pay only the shipping cost, and we send the actual finish sample directly to you. We offer samples for all of our wood veneer finishes and solid painted colors — over 30 in total.
Because bathroom finishes look different under your specific lighting and against your own tile, flooring, paint, and hardware, we recommend ordering a sample before placing your full order. Spending a few dollars on shipping to confirm the exact color is well worth it to avoid receiving a vanity that doesn't look the way you expected. Order your samples at our Cabinet Finish Samples page.
Do you sell touch-up paint?
Yes. Contact us with your vanity model name and finish color and we will provide a matching touch-up pen.
Care & Maintenance
How do I care for my vanity after purchase?
Karton Republic vanities are built to last decades with simple, regular care. The exact routine depends on which countertop material your vanity has — quartz, ATH solid surface, or sintered stone — plus general care for the wood veneer cabinet. The questions below cover each surface in detail. As a universal rule: wipe up standing water promptly, use soft cloths and pH-neutral cleaners, and avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia on any surface.
How do I care for an ATH solid surface countertop and sink?
Caring for a solid surface top and sink is straightforward because the non-porous material naturally resists stains. For daily cleaning, wipe the top and basin with warm water and a mild dish soap, or use a standard glass cleaner. A mild ammonia-based cleaner is also acceptable for solid surface. Always dry the surface thoroughly with a microfiber towel afterward to prevent water spots.
To remove soap scum and hard water deposits: mix equal parts water and white vinegar, apply, rinse thoroughly, and buff dry.
For stubborn stains: make a paste of baking soda and water, apply with a non-scratch sponge, rub in gentle circular motions, then rinse completely. Specialized products like Gel-Gloss Cleaner are also formulated to clean and restore shine to solid surfaces.
Repairing scratches: unlike natural stone or laminate, solid surface is fully renewable. For light scratches, buff gently in a circular motion with a damp light-duty non-scratch pad (such as a light Scotch-Brite pad). For deeper scratches, lightly sand the area with fine-grit sandpaper (1500–2000 grit), then restore the shine with a mild polishing cream or car burnishing compound.
Avoid: steel wool, scouring pads, and harsh chemical powders, which can permanently dull or scratch the finish.
How do I care for a quartz or sintered stone countertop?
For both quartz and sintered stone, we recommend applying a penetrating sealer such as 511 Impregnator Penetrating Miracle Sealer — available at Home Depot or any hardware, tile, or flooring store — to the countertop surface after a thorough deep clean and before first use. This adds an extra layer of protection against staining and water marks and keeps the surface looking new.
Daily cleaning: wipe the surface with a soft microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge using mild dish soap and warm water, then rinse with clean water and dry with a soft towel to avoid streaks. Wipe up spills promptly — while both materials are highly stain-resistant, letting liquids sit is the most common cause of marks.
Weekly: a wipe-down with a gentle, pH-neutral cleaner maintains the shine.
Avoid: bleach, ammonia, and other harsh or high/low-pH chemicals, which can dull or discolor the surface over time. Skip abrasive scouring pads and powders. Although both materials are heat resistant, use a trivet rather than placing hot styling tools (curling irons, flat irons) directly on the surface.
How do I care for the wood veneer cabinet?
The real wood veneer cabinet is protected by our 5-layer Sherwin-Williams finish, but a few simple habits will keep it looking new for years:
- Wipe up water promptly. Our cabinets carry 48-hour water damage protection, but for best long-term appearance, dry any standing water or splashes on the cabinet surface rather than letting them sit.
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Use a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild, pH-neutral soap. Wipe in the direction of the grain, then dry with a clean cloth.
- Avoid harsh products. Do not use abrasive scrubbers, bleach-based cleaners, ammonia, or acidic products on the wood finish — these can dull or damage the coating over time.
- Skip furniture polish and wax. These can build up on the finish; plain water or mild soap is all that's needed.
- Manage humidity. Run your bathroom exhaust fan during and for 15–20 minutes after showering to keep ambient humidity down, which helps every component of the vanity last longer.
For minor surface scuffs or chips on a painted finish, contact us with your vanity model name and finish color for a matching touch-up pen.
Should I check the mounting brackets on a floating vanity over time?
It's good practice to periodically confirm that a wall-mounted vanity remains securely fastened, especially in the first few months after installation. Our floating vanities use a full-width, 45-degree French cleat bracket anchored into wall studs, which provides excellent long-term stability — but as with any wall-mounted furniture, an occasional visual check that the vanity sits flush against the wall with no movement is a sensible habit. If you ever notice shifting, have your installer re-confirm the bracket anchoring before continued use.
Pricing & Value
How much do Karton Republic vanities cost?
Our vanities range from approximately $800 to $3,000 depending on size, collection, and countertop material. Single vanities in smaller sizes (24–36 inches) start around $800–$1,200. Double sink vanities in larger sizes (60–72 inches) range from $1,800–$3,000. All prices include the pre-assembled cabinet and countertop. Mirrors, faucets, and drains are sold separately.
Why are your prices lower than similar products at other retailers?
Karton Republic is a manufacturer-owned brand. We design and source directly from our own factory and sell direct to consumers — eliminating multiple layers of retail markup. This allows us to offer real plywood veneer hardwood vanities with Sherwin-Williams finishes and a lifetime warranty at prices typically associated with MDF products from big-box retailers.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as Shopify Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Do you charge sales tax?
U.S. sales tax is only charged on orders shipping to California addresses. For Canadian orders, we cover all customs duties and import taxes, so there are no additional fees at the border.
Do you offer discounts for contractors or interior designers?
Yes. We offer a trade account program for qualified contractors and interior designers with no minimum purchase requirement. Email marlene@cartisandesign.com to apply. Once approved, your account manager will contact you with your discount details.
Do you have a dealer or wholesale program?
Yes. Qualified dealers can purchase at manufacturer-direct prices. Email klaus@cartisandesign.com to apply.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take?
In-stock vanities ship from our Los Angeles warehouse within 1 business day of your order. Delivery takes 3–7 business days to most U.S. locations across all 50 states. We also ship to Canada, where delivery typically takes 7–14 business days depending on the destination province.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is included in the price of every Karton Republic product. The price you see is the price you pay — there are no separate freight charges calculated by state or address, and no surprise shipping fees added at the end of checkout. We built shipping into our pricing to keep things simple and transparent: you always know your total cost upfront, with no guesswork.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes. Karton Republic ships to Canada in addition to all 50 U.S. states. Canadian delivery typically takes 7–14 business days depending on your province. Best of all, we cover all customs duties and import taxes on Canadian orders — the price you see at checkout is what you pay, with no surprise fees at the border when your vanity is delivered.
Can I pick up my order locally?
Yes. Local pickup is available at our showroom at 19400 San Jose Ave, City of Industry, CA 91748. Because our standard pricing includes shipping, local pickup orders qualify for special in-person pricing — contact us at 626-333-2688 or marlene@cartisandesign.com for a pickup quote before ordering.
Warranty & Returns
What warranty do Karton Republic vanities come with?
Every Karton Republic bathroom vanity is backed by a lifetime structural warranty. If your vanity develops a structural defect under normal residential use, we will make it right. This is not a standard 1-year warranty — it reflects our confidence in real plywood veneer hardwood construction, which is built to last decades, not years.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
The lifetime warranty covers structural defects in the cabinet construction under normal residential use. It does not cover damage from improper installation, unauthorized modifications, misuse, or normal surface wear. To initiate a warranty claim, contact us at 626-333-2688 or marlene@cartisandesign.com.
